Eric attended Fordham University from the Fall of 2019 until the Spring of 2023. He has a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and French and Francophone Studies. Eric studied international politics and economics, development. trade, and various cultural regions. He wrote his Senior Thesis on the economic, political, and cultural influence of France in Francophone Africa, specifically Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire, and how that influence impacts US-China great power competition in the region.
During his time at Fordham, Eric was a strong academic and a prominent student leader. Eric became the treasurer and then president of Fordham University-Lincoln Center's Residence Hall Association (RHA). As president, Eric advocated on behalf of residents, increased the engagement between Fordham administration and students, and brought student leaders together. During the Covid-19 pandemic and the rise in racial justice movements, Eric co-founded F.I.R.E. (Focused Initiative for Racial Equity) in order to advocate for all students on campus. Eric also increased new sustainability measures and raised thousands of dollars for local, NYC-based organizations through multiple charity fundraisers. After his time as president, Eric became a Resident Assistant (RA). In this position, Eric monitored student safety, organized academic and social events for residents, and provided resources for all students. Throughout his four years at Fordham, Eric served as a tutor at Fordham's local neighborhood center. He worked as a Teen Program coordinator and aided students in his local community.
After graduating from his university summa cum laude, Eric won a Fulbright award to Côte d'Ivoire as an English Teaching Assistant (ETA) in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. Eric's Fulbright runs from September 2023 until June of 2024.
